Managing Price Book

Managing the price book in CommerceJet allows you to easily update and schedule prices for your trading partners. Follow this guide to keep your pricing organized and up to date.

Step 1: Access the Price Book for a Trading Partner

From your CommerceJet Dashboard, go to the side menu and click on Trading Partners. Select the trading partner you want to manage and click View.

On the trading partner’s page, locate the Price Book section on the right-hand side and click View Prices to access the price book.

Step 2: Search and View Prices

In the price book, you can search for products using the Product Name or SKU to find the item you want to manage. The price book will display the product details, including the SKU and the current price.

• View Price History: To see the price history of a product, click on the View Price History icon.
• Update Price: To update the price of a product, click on the Update Price icon.

Step 3: Update Prices

To update a price, click the Update Price icon next to the product. Enter the new price and add a comment to explain why the price was updated (e.g., seasonal promotion, cost increase). Once you’ve entered the details, click Update to save the new price.

Step 4: Schedule Future Price Changes

To manage price changes over time, you can use the Price Book Scheduler. This is especially useful for setting up promotional pricing or seasonal discounts.

• Click on View Schedules to access the price book scheduler.
• Click on Create Schedule to define a new price book update.

Enter the name of the schedule (e.g., Black Friday), and set the Start Date and End Date. This will automatically update the trading partner’s price book at the beginning and end of the defined period.

Step 5: Add Products to the Schedule

Once you’ve defined the schedule, add the products you want to include and set the new prices for each product. You can add multiple products to the same schedule. Click Back to Schedule once all products have been added.

To finalize the schedule, click Finalize. This will ensure the price changes take effect during the selected time period.

Step 6: Manage Price Book Schedules

You can manage existing price schedules by clicking on View in the scheduler. From here, you can adjust the schedule dates, add or remove products, or modify prices as needed using the Manage Items icon.
