Follow this guide to integrate your Shopify store as a trading partner in CommerceJet, allowing you to manage orders and inventory seamlessly between both platforms.

Step 1: Add Shopify as a Trading Partner

From your CommerceJet Dashboard, locate and click on Trading Partners in the side menu. In the Trading Partners section, click the Add New button.

Step 2: Select Shopify

A list of trading partners will appear. From this list, select Shopify. In the field provided, enter your Shopify store URL, then click Continue.

Step 3: Log in to Shopify and Create a Custom App

After clicking Continue, you'll be taken to a page with step-by-step instructions to link your Shopify store to CommerceJet. Open a new tab, log in to your Shopify admin dashboard, and follow these steps:

  • Access the Apps and Sales Channels from the Shopify settings or click here to go directly to the App Development page.
  • Click on Develop Apps, then click Create an App.
  • In the pop-up window, name the app CommerceJet and click Create App.

Step 4: Configure API Scopes

Now we need to configure Admin API scopes. Click Configure Admin API Scopes. In the list of permissions (API scopes), use the filter to find and enable the following:

  • read_orders, write_orders
  • read_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders, write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders
  • read_products, write_products
  • read_inventory, write_inventory
  • read_locations

Ensure that all required scopes are selected to avoid issues with syncing orders and inventory between Shopify and CommerceJet.

Step 5: Set Webhook Version and Save

Scroll down to the Webhook Subscriptions section. From the drop-down menu, select Version 2024-07 as the webhook version. Once all the necessary API scopes and webhook settings are configured, click Save at the bottom of the page.

Step 6: Install the App and Copy API Credentials

Once the app is saved, click Install App at the top right corner. After installation, you’ll see the Admin API Access Token, API Key, and API Secret Key. Copy these credentials to use in the next step.

Step 7: Connect Shopify to CommerceJet

Return to the CommerceJet Dashboard. Paste the Admin API Access Token, API Key, and API Secret Key into the corresponding fields on the page, then click Continue to finalize the connection.

Success!

Congratulations! You have successfully added Shopify as a trading partner in CommerceJet. Your Shopify store is now linked, and CommerceJet can begin managing your orders and inventory seamlessly.
