How to Create and Manage Warehouse Types

Managing warehouse types in CommerceJet allows you to categorize and organize your warehouses based on their role, purpose, or location. Follow this guide to create, edit, and manage warehouse types efficiently.


Step 1: Navigate to Warehouse Types

From the CommerceJet Dashboard, click on Settings in the side menu. From the drop-down list, select Warehouse Types. This will take you to the list of existing warehouse categories in CommerceJet.

Step 2: Add a New Warehouse Type

To add a new warehouse type, click the Add New button located at the top of the Warehouse Types list. A form will appear where you can enter the name of the new warehouse type.


Step 3: Provide Warehouse Type Details

In the form, type in the name of the warehouse type you want to add. For example, Main Distribution Center or Overflow Storage. Once you've entered the name, click Submit to save the new warehouse type.


Step 4: Edit or Delete Warehouse Types

To edit an existing warehouse type, locate it in the list and click the Edit button next to it. Make the necessary changes, then click Update to save your changes.

To delete a warehouse type, click the Delete button next to the type you wish to remove.


Pro Tip: Regularly review and update your warehouse types to ensure they accurately reflect the role, purpose, or location of each warehouse in your system.
